DO's

Do Use the Official Banking Apps
Avoiding third-party banking apps can reduce the chance of scams or a personal information leak. Stick to using the official banking app of your credit union. You can download Texas Trust's official mobile app here.

Do Verify Your Transactions
Make sure you can identify each transaction that appears on our account. Promptly report any discrepancies or unauthorized transactions to your credit union.

Do Contact Your Bank When in Doubt
If you have encountered any suspicious activity or are in doubt about any banking transactions, don't hesitate to contact your bank for assistance. They can verify the legitimacy of messages, transactions, or any concerns you may have. Make sure to contact your bank on their website for a trusted source.

DON'TS

Don't Respond to Suspicious Requests
Scammers often disguise themselves as financial institutions pleading for money to exploit unsuspecting individuals. Avoid replying to random emails or text messages requesting money no matter how urgent or crucial the message may sound.

Don't Share Your Personal Banking Information
Never disclose your personal banking information, such as account numbers, passwords, or PINs, to anyone. Texas Trust Credit Union will never ask for this information through unsolicited messages.

Don’t Deposit an Unknown Check
Be careful depositing unknown and unexpected checks. Scammers will send out fake checks to victims in the hopes of getting access to their funds once the fraudulent check is deposited.

Use these tips to keep your finances safe while exploring new ventures with peace of mind.
